For my first blog I would like to properly congratulate President Barack Obama and the U.S citizens for empowering themselves to strive for a much needed change, not only domestically but internationally as well.
As a Canadian, I finally feel proud to be a citizen neighboring the United States. I think I represent many people across the world when I say that it has never been an issue of the U.S citizens but irrevocably, who they have elected to power minus a few exceptions(Lincoln, Kennedy) that made the rest of the world identify them with their past leaders.
I can also say with confidence that the larger majority of Canadians were more educated and informed on political issues concerning the U.S than their own country political affairs.
Now, I truly believe we will be witness to a near transformation in relations between not only allied countries and religious groups across the world but maybe...just maybe... new understandings and good willed intentions towards each other everywhere.

God Bless.

I couldn't agree more. I just had this discussion the other day with a few friends and I was pointing out that I'm happy that there's a pretty decent chance that my son will live a life that may be filled with more views of love than hate in the world. The ideal that hope can be given to people of all colours with this change excites me. I hope we all take a page from Obama and realize that with hard work and determination ALL is possible:)
